Your body. Your data.
This policy explains, in plain language, what personal data Wild Woman collects, both through this website and through the Wild Woman app, why we collect it, and the rights you have over it. We wrote it to be read, not to hide behind.
Last updated: 5 October 2026 · Version 2.0 (website and app)
We do not sell your data. Not to brands, not to advertisers, not to anyone. We collect the least we can, keep it only as long as we need it, and you can take it or erase it at any time.
1Who we are
Wild Woman (“Wild Woman”, “we”, “us”) is a women’s health companion, founded by Dr Tia Kansara and Hema Kansara. For the purposes of UK and EU data-protection law, Wild Woman is the data controller for the personal data described in this policy.
If you have any question about your data, or you want to exercise any of the rights set out below, write to us at [email protected]. We read every message.
2What this policy covers
This policy covers two things: the Wild Woman website (including the early-access waitlist and the chat bubble on it), and the Wild Woman app at app.wildwoman.app, which is a demo in private testing.
The demo is deliberately built so that it does not collect or store your data on our servers. Your cycle, check-ins, reflections and any Circle drafts stay in your browser or on your phone, and are gone when you clear them or delete the app's data. The one feature that sends anything out is the Sister (see section 3), and even then only to generate an answer in the moment, never to build a record of you. The shared Circle runs on your device with preview content only.
3What we collect, and why
When you join the early-access list, you choose to give us:
| Data | Why |
|---|---|
| Your email address | So we can tell you when early access opens and send you occasional news about it. |
| Your first name (optional) | So we can write to you as a person, not a row in a list. |
| Your consent and the time you gave it | So we have a record that you asked to hear from us, as the law requires. |
When your browser contacts our site, our infrastructure provider also processes a small amount of technical data automatically, to keep the service running and to prevent abuse:
| Data | Why |
|---|---|
| A one-way hash of your IP address | Abuse and spam prevention only. We store a scrambled fingerprint, not your actual IP address, and it cannot be reversed back into it. |
| Your browser type (user agent) | To understand and fix display problems, and to spot automated abuse. |
What we do not collect on this website: we do not use advertising cookies, we do not run third-party trackers or analytics pixels, and we do not collect any health, cycle or fertility data through the website.
4The app, and the Sister
The Wild Woman app at app.wildwoman.app is a demo. It is here so you can see the real thing working. It is not a data-collection product.
Your cycle data stays on your device. Everything you enter or track, your cycle, daily check-ins, moods, reflections and any Circle drafts, is stored only in your browser or on your phone. We never receive it, and it is removed when you clear it, use “Delete everything” in the app, or clear your browser.
The Sister is the one feature that sends anything off your device, and only to answer you in the moment:
| Sent to answer your question | Not sent, and not stored |
|---|---|
| Your question, your current inner season, and your cycle day. | Your name is never sent. Your messages are not stored on our servers and are not used to identify you or to build a profile. |
Processing runs on Vercel (our hosting) through the Vercel AI Gateway to the AI model provider (Anthropic for the default model), which returns an answer with its evidence label and sources. A safety check for urgent symptoms runs first, on your phone. You can switch the Sister off at any time in You. Because this is a demo, nothing it processes is kept.
5Our lawful basis
Under UK GDPR, we rely on:
- Your consent (Article 6(1)(a)) for sending you early-access emails. You gave it by ticking the box when you signed up, and you can withdraw it at any time (see your rights below).
- Your explicit consent for the Sister. You give it on the app's “Your data, your choice” screen before the Sister is used, and you can switch it off at any time in You. Because the app is a demo, what the Sister processes is transient and is not stored.
- Our legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f)) for the minimal, security-related technical data, so we can keep the site available and protect it from abuse. We have balanced this against your privacy and kept it to the least necessary.
6Who processes your data for us
We keep our list of suppliers short, and we choose them for their security and their data practices. We use:
- Cloudflare: hosts the website, stores the early-access list in a database on our behalf, and routes email sent to our addresses. (Cloudflare privacy policy)
- Resend: delivers the emails we send to you. (Resend privacy policy)
- Vercel: hosts the app and runs the Sister, passing your question through the Vercel AI Gateway to the model provider. (Vercel privacy policy)
- Anthropic: the AI model behind the Sister's default answers. It receives your question, inner season and cycle day to generate a reply, never your name. (Anthropic privacy policy)
These providers act as our data processors: they handle your data only to provide their service to us, under contract, and not for their own purposes. Some may process data outside the UK; where they do, they are bound by appropriate safeguards (such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum or equivalent) to keep your data protected to UK standards.
We do not share your data with Dr Tia Kansara’s or Hema Kansara’s other ventures, and we do not merge it with any other mailing list.
7How long we keep it
We keep your early-access details until the earlier of: the moment you unsubscribe or ask us to erase them, or 24 months after your last interaction with us, after which we review and delete the list if early access has not progressed. The security-related technical data is kept only briefly and then discarded. The app keeps nothing on our servers: your in-app data lives on your device, and what the Sister processes is transient and not stored.
8Your rights
Under UK and EU data-protection law you have the right to:
- Be informed, which is what this policy is for.
- Access a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Rectify anything that is wrong or out of date.
- Erase your data (“the right to be forgotten”).
- Restrict or object to how we use it.
- Portability: receive your data in a portable format to take elsewhere.
- Withdraw consent at any time, which is as easy as it was to give. Every email we send carries a one-click unsubscribe, or you can write to us.
To exercise any of these, email [email protected]. We will respond within one month. Exercising your rights is free, and we will never penalise you for it.
9Keeping it safe
Your data is held on encrypted, access-controlled infrastructure. Access is limited to the people who genuinely need it to run the waitlist and the demo. No system is perfectly secure, but we hold ourselves to a standard we would want for our own mothers, sisters and daughters, because it is.
10Children
The early-access waitlist and the demo are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect data from children. When the full app launches, any features designed for younger users (such as First Moons) will carry their own, stricter protections and parental consent where required.
11Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, we would like the chance to put it right. Please tell us first at [email protected]. You also have the right to complain to the UK’s data-protection regulator, the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), at ico.org.uk.
12Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update the date and version at the top. If the change is significant, and certainly before the app moves from a demo to collecting or storing any health data, we will tell you directly and, where the law requires it, ask for your consent again. We will not quietly expand what we do with your data under an old policy.

Wild Woman · Data protection
Email: [email protected]
We will add a registered postal address and, if and when required, our ICO registration number here before the full app launches to the public.
The Wild Woman app is currently a demo in private testing. It does not permanently collect or store your personal or health data: your in-app data stays on your device, and anything the Sister processes is used only to answer you in the moment and is not retained. Wild Woman offers wellness education, not medical advice. Always speak with a qualified practitioner about your health. This privacy policy is written to be clear and honest and reflects our genuine practices; it is not a substitute for individual legal advice, and it is being reviewed by a qualified professional. Health-adjacent data is covered by UK GDPR, Washington’s My Health My Data Act and the FTC Health Breach Notification Rule, and we will update this policy before the app changes from a demo to a data-collecting product.
